I was very disappointed in the set. The couch and chair feel like you are sitting directly upon a board. The appearance was accurately displayed in the photo but the comfort level was totally lacking even the seatback on both units were just as hard as the seats. I could not recommend this set to anyone. The instructions were given a lower mark because they did not explain that additional steps were necessary to make things fit properly.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
